  • 1937 Dictator spotted in Crete, sort of...

I was watching a rerun of "Secrets of the Third Reich" on the Smithsonian channel. I saw it a few months ago but wasn't fast enough with my camera to get a screen show. Anyway, this episode deals with the capture of General Kreipe in Crete by allied commandos in 1944. There was a reenactment showing the General being chauffeured in a 1937 Studebaker Dictator, stopped at a roadblock, and captured.
Who knows what type of car he was in in real life but I found it interesting that they used a "Dictator" in the reenactment.
