  • Electrical Checks on your Studebaker

I don't care for digital meters when working on cars because of the electrical noise messing with the meter. I only use analog meters, and this Sperry has long been my favorite. I'd buy this one in a minute, but I already have some. It also is capable of running 20 amp checks, in case you are looking for a battery drain.

I was looking for a battery drain and after removing almost every wire under the dash and engine, I noticed the little map light was on. With the cover on and in the daylight I didn't notice it. I am now a firm believer of a walk around at night.

I thought my GT was running fine, but when I looked at the engine at night I saw random sparks coming from the ignition wires. Replaced them, and now it runs even better!
