This car has been for sale for quite a while. IIRC all of the mechanicals were redone a couple of years back (engine, trans, PS and brakes). It is a very nice ride (I last saw it in person about 18 months ago). The only downside I saw at the time was that the paint was getting tired and there was some light rust in the seams around the doors, engine compartment, etc. That may have been addressed? Certainly worth $3500 IMO.

From here the car looks really nice. Why is it that all the nice Studebakers are way across the country from me? That car looks like a real bargain.

It's a car. You could drive it home. It might be an fun adventure.

Helps that they don't use salt on the roads out here...even if you don't drive 'em home, the money you save on not having to do significant rust repair will more than pay for the shipping costs.

Actually--- Washington started using salt 'brine' eight or ten years ago...

Looks like a good buy for someone that wants to many doors. Talk the guy down to 2800-3000 and you have a very nice daily driver that you can fix when broke and what late model can you get for that kind of money that would be this much fun?
