Nice looking burnt Orange, but good Luck getting OIL in it! Lol!

Do you have to Weld Pipes in those Ribbed Valve Covers, to put Oil Caps on?

        Old skull Oil...

I kept to an Old skull look with my oil filter/caps....My valve covers aren't as nice looking....Always thought I'd dress them up but have gotten use to the plan look over the years. Simple seems to work for my truck.

Great work Jeff. You are the man!! What was the basic intake you started with? What air cleaner is he using or is he staying with the two singles? Thanks for the update.
              Cheers, Bill

Only part I had in this was the intake, so I can't accurately comment on the other stuff.
It was an obsolete Offy dual quad intake. Lot of work to cut off the old stuff and put on new stuff.
I suppose an Edelbrock dual quad air filter would fit. Don'r know what they are going to use.
Have two more on the bench waiting their turn (so a couple more will be available)....

The last few valve covers I messed with had an aluminum tube press fit into the cover (that accepted a stock Stude chrome cap)
It appears that the tube has been removed from this particular cover.
(Probably so they could install a 710 cap with a standard aftermarket size).

I looks like there is room to mill off some of the carb mounting flange for low hood lines? Would that reduced plenum volume kill performance?

Yes, there is. And that manifold came in two 'heights'. The carb flanges can indeed be lowered.
The one I did for Phil Harris was cut way down for a dual turbo'd Avanti project..

                              Yeah.....right...
My joke is my stuff is more like abstract art.
And with abstract art, there is Picasso... Who used to pay his bar tabs by doodling stuff on napkins.
                              True story...
                              http://truthorial.com/art/picasso-paid-his-restaurant-bills-with-artistic-doodles

I tried that once, but got thrown out of the bar.

When I told someone that story (as a joke) they laughed out loud.. I mean really laughed out loud.
Asked him why and he said besides Picasso, Salador Dali used to do the same thing.
So I asked him why that was so funny.
He said my welds look more like Dali's watches than Picasso..
I guess it was funny to him.....
                              Critics...... Sheesh
