I have been supplying an "anti-rattle kit" for the rear window of sliding-roof cars for a while now. It consists of complete window run, cat whisker wipe, new clips to attach same, and mohair to re-line the two pieces down in the tailgate. I have ASSumed all sliding-roof cars have a chrome/stainless frame around the glass.
Now I have someone asking for a kit for a stationary roof car. He claims he has two cars, one sliding-roof and one stationary, and neither car has a frame around the glass. (Maybe that's why they rattle so much?)
Studying the parts book hasn't cleared it up much for me. If cars were available without a frame around the glass, that requires not only different channel runs, but also however the channel is mounted, those opening must also be different. Anyone know for sure if you could get a Wagonaire with a rear window that does not have a frame around it?
