Yes and another frame is skinned over the later GT frame. The guy who made it was going to make a convertible.
I should have none of the 53 frame flex.

Did you move the gas tank from the left frame mount to a central position between the rails to facilitate the dual exhausts?
sigpic 1963 Studebaker Avanti: LS1 motor and T-56 transmission have been moved rearward, set up as a two seat coupe with independent rear suspension. Complex solutions for nonexistant problems.

Also, is that 2" diameter exhaust?

Looking good Jack! David does really nice work. Maybe once your car gets out of his shop, I can get him to finish some of my languishing projects .

Looks great! Please tell us about those tail pipes. Are they custom made or does someone manufacture them? What diameter are they?

Something just looks "unnatural" 'bout a Studebaker without an oily underside. If I can ever get the 289 installed in my 1955 E 5 truck, I wish I could make a dual exhaust set up as neat. To me, this one is as good as it gets.

                          That's Alex Magdaleno's '54.
A recreation of one he owned decades earlier, but sold and regretted selling.
He built up a nice 289 and custom made his own dual Weber intake setup.
(I built his valley cover and sold him a pair of intake flange plates)

Sweet machine. Alex used to be active on the old(er) forums... But he's still around...
