The Thermostat Housing on Studebaker V8's has a recess cut into it for the Thermostat to fit, on "Other Engines" the recess is in the Manifold it attaches to. So NO you need to buy them here: http://studebakervendors.comStudeRich

Doing it wrong without the "recess" is just asking for a leak.
Original Studebaker outlets are Cast Iron on '47 to 1960's and originals and reproductions are Aluminum on '61 to 1966.
No Chrome, and it is a good thing, as they usually do not last without leaks.StudeRich
