Gas Tank 2R

So, I pulled down the gas tank on the Blue Ox... 2R17A Bottom is just fine...the top? Not great.....lots of holes.....insides were full of rust, I filled a coffee can with rust grounds.....Took the tank to two respectable shops....both said no. I wire brushed the exterior, looks fixable, but the insides are awful. I bet if I clean it more aggressively, I will be left with a sieve

Anyone have a nice clean tank?

Read about using another brand tank and such....not really the route I would go...

I'd be OK with a Side Saddle Tank.....if anyone has one of those.....

Old Chevy trucks larger than 1 1/2 ton used a saddle tank. I'd check the junk yards if this is the tank you want.
