    Most of the South Bend production of 1953s used the tri-star emblems and ALL Vernon/LA production of 1953s used the tri-star emblems.
    Those tri-star emblems are different for C/K bodies than for sedans (you didn't specify).
    There were other runnng changes in early 1953 production.

        Early '53 coupe, under 100 body nos, had no small pull-front springs on the hood. My '53 made in March, '53, just over 1000 body no., has an unfilled seam in the C pillar, earlier models had that and the seam between the body and the rear deck (beside the hood) unfilled. later production had both seams filled.

          I have an early 1953 K body car and the front fenders had an extra bolt
          holding the fenders on,only reached from inside the car
