    We were fortunate enough to be selected to exhibit this year at the CONCOURS 'd ELEGANCE automobile show in DesMoines, Iowa. The wife and I drove our Studebaker there and back. A couple hundred miles for sure. Lots of people saw the car on the road the 10th. and even more got a closer look at it at the show on the 11th.

    That's a really nice looking Hawk you have.
    That must be a curb feeler I see in front of the right front tire. My dad had those on his 1950 Champion. I haven't seen any cars with those for years.

      Yes, they are curb feelers. In Iowa most cities use storm drains and that means you have to deal with curbs. I have these on the passenger side only cause I don't normally back into a parking space. When they touch the curb, they make a loud scratching noise and you know your whitewalls are about to get killed if you don't steer away.
