  • Quiz - 1964 Challenger on The Price Is Right - What was the right price?

On Friday, October 25, 1963 a Horizon Green Studebaker Challenger 4-door Six was the featured bid award on The Price is Right (ABC-TV). It was equipped as follows: Climatizer, undercoating, whitewall tires, front seat belts with the standard upholstery and standard transmission. What was the factory price FOB South Bend? Closest guess without going over the actual price will win the undying admiration of all his Studebaker friends!

    $1865.00 fob
    American iron, real old school
With two tone paint, it sure is cool

Its got 8 cylinders and uses them all
With an overdrive that just won't stall

With a 4 barrel carb and dual exhausts
With 4.23 gears it can really get lost

Its got safety belts and I ain't scared
The brakes are good and the tires are fair.

Tried to sell her, but got no taker
I"ll just keep driving my Studebaker
