  • Thousands of Avantis in wharehouses

    American iron, real old school
With two tone paint, it sure is cool

Its got 8 cylinders and uses them all
With an overdrive that just won't stall

With a 4 barrel carb and dual exhausts
With 4.23 gears it can really get lost

Its got safety belts and I ain't scared
The brakes are good and the tires are fair.

Tried to sell her, but got no taker
I"ll just keep driving my Studebaker

If I had written such fiction, I would have probably been accused of being dropped by my parents at birth on my head. Come to think of it, I have been accused of that anyway.

Well, there were a lot of frames left that the avanti 2s were built from for decades, right? That could easily morph into the story in that ad by someone or a number of people...

This sounds like the $50 Harley-Davidson I almost "bought"

That car had sat in the owners front yard for years, I know the owner was eccentric as he refused to sell, Gary Johnson had made several offers on it BUT NO. This car had the AM/Fm radio and tilt wheel. Lou Cote

Well there was bidding and someone did buy it, so I guess that there is more to the story.

Looks to be very amateurish and shoestring operation looking at the website. Been almost two weeks and no updates or posted results of the auction.

I don't think that the fan blade on top of the air cleaner will work as a supercharger
