I have a 63 Avanti R1 in my 54. I am going to replace the chrome valve covers with finned aluminum, meaning the ign wires will need to be replaced. I intend to run the wires from the distributor, across and down the firewall, then to the plugs.
It seems to me that years ago I read about a set for a different make of car that is pretty close to what I need. I've gone through my books, all my co-operator stuff and searched the forum without any luck. Does anyone know of a set that will work? Am considering taking measurements and have Magnecor build a set.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but I can't visualize what it is that you want to do. Eliminate the R engine plug wire covers? Running them back to the firewall and then to the plugs-why? For that length of wire you will probably buy bulk wire and make them yourself or as you are doing having a set made. Remember, the longer the wire, the higher the resistance, so it make look cool, but not run very well. Good Luck
