Why would you take a 1928 car of any brand out on the Interstate?!?

Because you are forced to drive on it for some portions, as its the ONLY access route, such as a bridge that crosses a major river, for example, without having to detour miles around. Or the only alternate route is gravel.

That seems like a reasonable theory, Craig, until you Google "I-635 in Kansas City". There are plenty of paved alternate routes to get you across the Missouri River. Besides, the story says that the couple were out for "a Sunday drive." Whats the hurry?
I'm sorry that these people had an accident and that the driver was injured. Nonetheless, the root cause of the accident seems to be a lapse of common sense, probably made worse by driving the car faster than would be safe.

My Norton anti-virus says this website is dangerous and blocked it.

              Your Norton is wrong.

Just to point out Studebaker broke more AAA speed and endurance records in 1928-29 than any other time in history by ANY auto maker in the history of the automobile. A 1928 President with its optional 3.31 axle will drive 90 All day long. Not that I suggest that it’s a good idea mind you but it can do it without hurting it one bit. Stopping is another matter altogether.....Just sayin

My anti-virus is not Norton...but it too...gave the danger message and blocked the site.
