  • Grill Insert- can anyone help identify this??

Trying to help out another forum member, dannyo, can't post this pic of an insert, he'd like to know what it fits. The three spears are 6 1/2" long and pointed on both ends. Overhang the back part of the metal steel insert. Similar to a GH but not...any ideas?

Since they are wrong for Golden Hawk side grill Insert Trim, he could remove them if he does not like the incorrect look and be done, they could be for the '57 and '58 Stude. Station Wagon Valance (Shelf) between the Body and the Rear Bumper or another make.

I think Matt Burnett (a sometimes poster here) shortened some Wagon Mouldings straight and square, for the rear ends and used them as replacements on a Hawk.

Richard, you might be right on that i would like to see the back end of a 57 or 58 wagon to see if thay are the same length, as what i have these look like thay belong on the plate thow , drilled right & all ? some one may come up with the answer like the guy you said Mike Burnett , hope he jumps in , dannyo.

I know just messing with you, I have a ton of parts that I don't know what they go to. As I figure it out if they aren't 50 champion I try to get them to someone who needs them.

They look hollow in the center, can't be Studebaker at all!

Richard , thay are not hollow in the center , if you can bring them up close on your computer you can see it is a doward dip in the center , like you put your pinkie finger in the tin is hawk, i took the old pot metel trim off this when i bought this piece it was broke , it think it is a mid year change ? i think i will see if Andrew beckman might shead some light on this to ,dannyo.

The Golden Hawk ones have no "dip" in the center, and can't be Studebaker because they do not fit.
