  • 38 State Commander Tail Light Lens Removal

Posted this on TECH site but no response so thought I would try here.
This may sound like a really stupid problem but I can not see how to remove the rear tail light lens!
I don't want to break it as the car is a survivor and I would assume these lenses are not easy to find.
I have checked the shop manual and it has detail info on the catherial headlights but nothing on the tail lights. I have a burned out bulb that needs replacing. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Have fun.

There is a screw on the housing towards the bottom (about 4 o'clock as you look at the lense). Once you remove the screw, rotate the bezel about 1/8 turn to find a slot at the top to release a tang. If I remember right, one side rotates clockwise and the other counter clockwise, you'll just have to try it, but it releases easily.
    Hope this helps, Mike

Thanks Mike- old age eyesight and a really bad back kept me from getting down low to see the screw. I figured it was something I was just missing but this was really silly on my part. Thanks for the help.
