:) Nice car!

The photos are date-stamped five years ago, so I hope it hasn't been sitting outside in Washington's moist climate for five years after the photos were taken!

(Upon further review, scratch that in light of Bill's Post #6, below...;)) BP

It is interesting how many ads have multiple pictures of the outside of a car and not one under the hood.

It is interesting how many ads have multiple pictures of the outside of a car and not one under the hood.

Random thoughts:

1. Not everyone selling an old car is a real car guy (person)

2. Today's cars have such long service intervals, are so reliable and are not really owner-serviceable, fewer owners ever look under the hood at all. True story - I was at a Ford dealership when a young woman brought in a car, engine rattling and smoking. A while later, the service manager came into the waiting room and asked her when was the last time she had the oil changed. She gave him a blank look, "What?" Told the engine had no oil in it, she said in fifty thousand miles she'd never opened the hood because when she bought it, the salesman told her it had a sixty thousand mile warranty.

3. There's nothing to see under most hoods these days. There are plastic covers, wires and hoses, but no real evidence of an engine.

Bob,

That's the dry side of the Cascades. Prosser is a veritable desert, with about 3" of rainfall a year. What is unusual is to see a car that the dry conditions have not just toasted the car!

I saw that car last year at a show and it looked pretty nice-didn't look under the hood or anything but it's definitely original.
