Great weather, Large crowds, More Studebakers then I can remember in the parking lot and as a vendor I had one of my best shows ever. What's not to like.

Jerry,

Just walked in the door. Glad to meet you and thanks for the tip on the gas tank. Harry is going to work it for me. Don't forget to look for the hood springs.

We had a great time!
Steve

George O sent me a text of what appeared to be a M-16 with a Detroit Diesel in it.

I missed the opportunity to get a good picture of the Detroit diesel truck, but here's a short video from a distance.

Part of one building was in use for a craft show, and that what you see in some of the pix.

This was Friday morning around 10:30AM. I was just walking around by this point. All my money was blown and my car was packed. I was on my way home by 11:30AM...

Lots of vendors ? lots of parts ? I don't care for the flee market stuff only the swap meet parts !!The crafts area was added to add some appeal for some of the spouses who might not be as interested in the car parts. Included home made all natural jams and jellies from Jalapeņo/mint to wild elderberry, native perennial plants, hand made kitchen utensils, knit items, etc.
As some vendors have retired and others consolidated, many who were in Hort Hall have moved in to Old Main, opening room in Hort Hall for things like displaying autos, crafts, and the KRC used book sale, with all proceeds used to send care packages to those deployed overseas.
Hopefully enough to interest everybody.

Didn't make York, but did make the AACA Swap Meet in Louisville today. No Studebaker stuff and only saw 1 other Studebaker owner (easily identified by his Got Studebaker sweat shirt).

I just got home. Picked up some pre paid items, delivered a pre sold part and made a couple of impulse buys on some small stuff. Saw some friends from past meets and was able to meet some I've had long distance dealings with. Nice to put faces to the names.

Somewhat interesting gray, 4 door, Elcastudero, or a stute, kind of conversion.

Some shots of the truck with the Detroit Diesel in it. Note the "Crudebaker" script on the side of the engine. This thing ought to have a bazooka slung across the back window.

Wow! Looks like you guys really had a great choice of vendors & parts! The last time I saw anything close to that many out here was the International Meet in 96. Even the Petersen & La Palma meets 15-20 years ago pale in comparison to that. I attended the Southwest meet in San Diego a few years ago which was disappointing in the number of vendors. Between York & South Bend you guys back east are spoiled!

I hope folks checked out the rig the brought the Crudebaker in. The Mack was chopped, channeled and lowered. IIRC a total of 18".
