Interior: 61 Hawk Kick Panel Installation

Is there anything other than the metal pinch strip along the door edge of the kick panel that holds it in place? Am I supposed to put any screws anywhere in the kick panel? If so about where do they go?

Does the passenger side kick panel fit around (slide over) the interior vent door or does the kick panel go in first and the vent door assembly mount on top of it?

It appears that the drivers side kick panel just has an opening around the vent screen. Was there supposed to be anything there to dress this up a little?

The passenger side kick panel goes on 1st & the cover goes on top.The drivers side has a mesh screen that covers the vent & operating mechanism.There is nothing else,apart from painting the screen silver I m not aware of any other way to spruce it up a tad !
The strip holds it in place as it should fit snug,a screw may be used along the forward edge of the panel if you feel it is needed
