  • Would there be any interest in this?

I have a set of original Lark rims and full wheel covers that I'm thinking about refinishing.
I'll paint the rims white and polish out the covers.
I have a set of brand new tires 195/65/15 I believe.
I could mount them on the wheels and sell them as a set.
I'm not sure if there is much need/desire for stock wheels though.
I could just try to sell the tires separate and sell the wheels and covers as-is.
    What do yall think?

Is it a set of four or five? What year are they from?

Its a set of four. It's from a 61. That's what they came off of anyway.

I would be VERY interested in all of itm (as-is as long as the rims aren't too rusty). Hmmm... wonder what the Dog would charge to ship all that?
As I recall, the P-number (3 digits) is the height of the tire, then width, then rim size. Sixty-fives would be... Narrow... though I think the original equipment size wouldn't they? All of mine are currently seventy-fives. These tire size numbers get me all mixed up.

So, what are you thinking of asking for this stuff?

Clunk, 195 would be the width, 65 means the sidewall height is 65 percent of the width, 15 means 15 inch rim.

A P195X65R15 is a very short Tire, MAYBE useable only for a Lark Six, and still would have too many Revs per Mile.

The 65 Series is Wider and smaller than the correct height 75, and Wider and Smaller than a 70 Series, Larger and Narrower than a 60 Series, P2xx Number for P2xx Number.

To get the correct diameter in a 65, for a correct reading Speedometer and Engine RPM, you would want a much larger Size than P195.

Your best bet is to check the Tire Co's. Tire Size charts for the Diameter you want close to the Original 6.40, 6.70 or 7.10 X15 size originally on the model of Studebaker 6 or 8 that you own.

Sorry guys. I've been on duty all day. I cant recall the actual size off hand. I will find out when I get home.
Also, I saw the message before I saw the post and responded.
I would take 50 for the wheels alone as-is.
I was just wondering if there would be an interest for a set of fresh wheels, caps and new tires. I guess not the tires or the caps.
