A desire I often entertain. As I have a '62 Cad 390 with a Weiand 2x4 set-up sitting on an engine stand, and a solid '62 Lark 2dr that hasn't moved under its own power in 20 years. Its just that 'Life' and housing and college expenses has always found a way of keeping on getting in the way.
Good news is, made my final mortgage payment in December. Great! ....now wife wants her new kitchen.

That's a really nice article. We were fortunate, here on Long Island, to have had Bill Frick in our midst. He was the builder of Studillacs. We have a Long Island Chapter member who is restoring a Studillac as we speak.

The pictures are fuzzy, but the dash looks like a Champion. Can anyone tell for sure? Might explain the "sluggish Stude" comment.

Yeah, if you click on the picture of the dash, you can enlarge it to see the "pods" under the dash to the right of the steering column. That would suggest its a Commander. But thats only if its the original dash, right?

I couldn't make out the "pods". The car was new enough that the dash was probably original to it.
