No idea on Monroe, Studebaker used Gabriel Shocks and they were the best. I always avoided Monroes, as they never lasted. Hard to do now-days, since Monroe owns Gabriel, but they do still make the Gabriel line and they are available for Studebaker.

That number doesn't appear in a 1970 Monroe book I have, though it seems to fit in their 4,000-5,000-6,000 number series of Super '500' shocks. My 1960 catalog uses a completely different numbering system.
