  • Help identify parts

I got these two metal parts in a box of stuff when I bought my 53 Commander. I don't see them in any of the service manual pictures and I've tried to position them up under the car using the slotted holes and existing bolts, but no luck. Can some one tell me about them?

As a scale reference, the slotted holes are about 6" apart.

    Thanks,

They are steel snubbers that mount at the rear of the frame to bottom first.

Yeah, they bolt on with the rear bumper brackets.

The post reminded me of a game we'd play at chapter meets. We'd put a Studebaker part in a cloth bag and pass it around and have members write down there guess just by feel.

I see where they go now, Thank You!

It was probably easy for you guys, but this is my first Studebaker and I was looking for a way to bolt them flat to the car, not straight down.
