Follow-up to the Egbert arrest in 1962.
As the attached newspaper clipping will attest both John M. and Clem were arrested on Feb 1, 1881 for driving too fast and assessed a fine of $2.00 each. At that time Clem was President and J.M. vice president. So the correct answer is Clem Studebaker. Clem would have been 50 years old and J.M. 48. Certainly too old to be "hot rodding" thru city streets endangering the lives of innocent women and children!
