My M16 with dump stake rack is a hydraulic lift... wonder what the system looks like?

Gary, what's on your dump bodies?

      Hydraulic pump

Anyone ever seen one of these on a Studebaker before? The owner claims it powered a dump bed on a M series.

I never saw one on a truck before, but I'm sure its nice to have "live hydraulics" on a Studebaker!!

I wonder if the name is actually HUSCO, and was used where the truck transmission didn't have provision for a PTO.

All are powered by a power take off unit mounted on the side of the transmission.

I will bet a beer it is PTO operated with a shaft running back to the hydraulic pump.

Gary; What purpose would it be to have a pump that is belt driven also be pto driven? My 84 rollback with automatic was a belt driven
pump. Just never thought o.f that being used that early of time.
By the way I'll collect my BUD in Lancaster. LOL
