A 1935 Studebaker Commander sedan is currently listed on e-Bay for sale in Eagle Rock. I'm still looking for my next project and could be interested in this car. I'm usually not too interested in sedans, but of all the '30's cars, the '35's are my next-to-best favorites (after '37's) so I'm looking for someone local who might be able to look at this car for me. It's more than a 1600 mile one way trip for me and I don't think I'd be able to get away before the auction is up next Monday.
The seller sent me a video of the engine running, but I didn't get any sound. The e-Bay listing says that the engine "smogs". I assume that is a euphemism for "smokes heavily". Having recently had one of these straight eight engines rebuilt, I have a good idea of the problems and cost involved.
