I scanned the last few days posts and I don't think I saw this; so I'm posting it. My apologies if it's a duplicate.

I bet the front fenders created too much lift to be stable at 200 mph. It looks like it would make an exciting street car project! perhaps a 53 nose could be adapted to make it more stable.;)

Wasn't this listed on eBay recently, and brought very few bids?

A hell of a deal at $2900.00 if the body and under-body support structure is up to the task.
I don't see any obvious problems going over 200mph other than the extra power to get it there from the "brick" shaped nose. The nonadjustable rear wing and deck shape is a little odd also.
I'd doubt that, "that" many people are looking to go Funny Car racing with that body style. It would make a cool "fun", weekend car for the well off person. I'm not sure it would be legal in today's Nostalgia Funny Car racing.

Nice looking in any case.

This is the Richwood Meat Olds powered Stude (with my old Starliner). I saw it run a 6.741 @ 200.29 in 2003 at Sears Point.

The Stude shape is pretty slippery! :D

Here's our stock-bodied 53 in running altere compared to a chopped 53 running comp coupe. They were capable of over 200.
