What year is this studebaker hubcap from?

A friend picked up this studebaker president hubcap a few weeks ago and I haven't had any luck identifying the year it came off of.

Any ideas?

Looks like a 1940 to me. 41 and 42 were different and not sure if the 39 was the same so I guess foggy memory and all votes for 1940.
