  • New studebaker owner, help

    Hello:
Just bought my first Studebaker, a 1928 Dictator, yikes! Would love to know which generation it is. Body GEW-3 Serial 1427178. This thing runs and drives and is only missing cosmetic parts. Yep, wood spoke wheels. I have one good interior door handle and one good interior window crank. I have a 3D printer and I am thinking about making these unless someone already is reproducing them. Any advise on restoring it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

Welcome! That is a beautiful ride! If you know the backstory, I'm sure there are a lot of folks here who'd love to hear it. (Or there might be some who already do!)

I would replace the missing parts and lubricate all the moving parts, but that doesn't look like it needs to be restored. I wonder if that's the same one I saw on craigslist?

It sure is a beauty, and puts my 28 Model A to shame.
