Very sorry to hear of Roberts passing. I met him at several Int'l meets with his fantastic collection of Studes. He was a nice man.

      Sincerely, Harv in Canton, MI

We went to the funeral today. It was at their Lutheran church and was
a nice service. It lasted a good hour if not more. A couple friends/
coworkers talked. Phoebe(sp) gave a good talk about her dad and
family. Being around Stephen for the past 29 years, I knew a lot
about their family, but learned a lot about them and more about doc.
Deb and I knew the kind of man he was, but I don't think we knew to
what extent he touched peoples lives.

I know 5 of the six kids were there and a LOT of the grand kids. Most
of them either sang or played instruments. They certainly took after
Doc and his love for music. Mostly Bach and Beethoven.

Mary Cade was a trooper since she just lost her sister yesterday too.
Now she will have to deal with that in Texas.

Bobby, Stephens son was able to get home from Iraq about an hour
before the service. He participated in the burial and flag ceremony.

Since Doc was in the Navy when he was younger, they had the military
        there to do the honors.

Not just a great man was layed to rest today, but also a very kind and
generous one. Very seldom does a human being of his kind come along.
He will be greatly missed, but his work and contributions to the world
        will continue on forever.
