  • Window Regulators Needed - 61 Lark

Does anyone have a good working pair of front door window regulators for a 1961 Lark Deluxe 4-door sedan available for sale?

    Stu,

Do you have part numbers for what you're looking for?

Not a chance from a '61 Wrap around Windshield Car with the Old style heavy framed door windows to a Curved W/S Car with newer, Light, narrow window frames.

I suspect they would be the same from mid-1955 through 1962.

Probably 56-62. I think the crank handle shaft/spline changed in '56.

According to SI's catalog, the part number for the right front door is 1314350 but they don't show a left hand door unit so I'm guessing it's NLA with them. This part number is applicable to 1956 to 1961 models according to the SI catalog. I'm told that a right front door regulator can be modified to use in a left front door.

It will work, but you will need to get out of the car to roll the window up and down. Besides, the crank handle will look funny on the outside of the door.
I've been told that many of the regulators are the same, but the arms are different. Any chance of modifying a rear door regulator to work on a front door? The rear ones usually were not used as much and would be in better condition.

Nothing showing for rear doors in SI catalog. Will check with my service source and get an opinion. But if SI doesn't carry them I'm a little concerned about availability in the used market. But you never know.

Now My Head's spinning ,because I don't remember for sure "but I think I was once told that a regulator from a Champ truck could be used in a GT Hawk Door". if that's true, then Bob may be on to some thing.
