  • Interesting 56 Golden Hawk

    Needs tons of work but I like the black exterior with red interior combo and think it would look great restored. I wonder how many were produced like that.

    Also, at the end of the ad, the owner lists the items off the production order. Under Special Notes, is says TAG IMPERIAL LINEN INC 49

    Wonder what that means.

      'Imperial Linen's' owner was probably the original purchaser.

        I would venture a guess that it was the upholstery material supplier for the cloth on the cloth/vinyl seats...

          The last 1956 Golden Hawk that I remember working on was all black with overdrive trans.

            Appears to have A/C with that compressor the front end will have extra weight on it. Must be aftermarket no mention on build sheet

              No 56J was sold from factory with air conditioning.
