Fuel System: stromberg rebuild kit

Hi all, my 259 engine is running sweet but is a bit heavy on fuel. The plugs, when checked are sooty, which points to it running rich. Can anyone tell me if a rebuild kit contains replacement main jets, and, if so, where to get one.

Rebuild kits do not contain new main jets or power valve. You will also need a special tool to remove the jets from a Stromberg WW carburetor. Before condemning the main jets be sure the choke is adjusted properly, the air filter element is in good shape, the correct heat range and reach spark plugs are installed and the ignition is in good condition. Also take a look at the heat riser valve to be sure it is working properly. Bud
