When I bought my '60 Lark 259 V-8 years ago, I purchased an extra 4 barrel intake manifold with an AFB carb.from the seller who said he had used it on my 259 and then put the original manifold and Stromberg back. The '60 with power pack used a WCFB that year. What years/engines used the AFB? Would this manifold/carb work on any Stude V-8 (232, 259, 289, etc.)?

The AFB was used in '63 and '64, the manifold will fit a 259 and 289,
but I dont think it will work on a 232 or 224 due to the runner size.

AFAIK, the 224" came along in 1955 and used the same heads as the 259" and up. The AFB could have come from a '63-64 225hp 289" or any of the R-series engines. It should work fine on anything other than a 232" The question you should have asked him is why he took it off.
thnx, jv.
