  • Looking for a 55-57 Transtar Pickup

    Curt, Dick shouldn't have any trouble finding one unless He's being very specific Color,drive train combo etc. I believe 57 was the first Year for Transtars.

        For those who look closely, there's a vast difference between the '55, 56 and '57 models. I prefer the '55, would accept a '56 and wouldn't be interested in a '57. There's next to no difference between the '57, '58 and '59.

            There's a 56 needing some major body work and engine/tranny missing on craigslist Nashville.
            Not worth 2 grand however. might be work $1k, maybe.

                I used to think that too.
                But now I'm 'into' trucks a bit more than I used to be.
                My trick is that they share the hood of the '57 (and up) trucks.
                Same hood- same name.
