OK, here's my first attempt at video on youtube.

A few notes- the quality is pretty low, much lower than my camcorder or computer shows it[xx(] It is 9:54 in length, and shows clips of the Meet, followed by a quick look at Max Corkins' place. Really only gives a little taste of the Meet to those who haven't been.

I purposely didn't do a lot of interacting with people. While I wanted to, everyone feels different about appearing on video; lots of folks are uncomfortable with having a still photo taken. So I didn't want to end up being the guy about which folks say "LOOK OUT, here he comes with that camcorder!" and run for the hills[B)]

For Lancaster, I'm planning to do something more detailed... I want to do short interviews with some of the folks for posterity; but I will get their OK before I turn on the camera. I'd love to end up with a video that not only gives a good look at the Meet, but immortalizes some of our group- none of us is going to live forever! I also thought to someday do in-depth recorded interviews with some of the senior members, with pre-selected and approved questions. I love seeing my old family movies, and would love to have a collection of recordings of our veteran Stude guys for future enjoyment[^]

So anyway, here's the link:

Let me have your critiques! (I can take it;))

Nice video! [^] Wow, that's a lot of Stude parts... [:0]

I think that at about 6:11, in Max's shop, that could be BondoBilly's '47 Commander Convertible... Bill[?]

And at 6:40, that's Peter C.'s '67 Avanti that was T-boned. [V]

Yes, Bondo said his convertible is there; was that it?

No idea on the others.

:) Interesting video, Bob. Thanks. (I take it the global warming enthusiasts didn't garner much of an audience at the event! ;)) BP

My '47 is split between the first and second floors. Body and chassis are up stairs, and all the major sheet metal is hanging from the ceiling on the first floor.

Still have not gotten Max the rest of the car. We discovered some major missing pieces back here when we re-did the office, work room and garage.

Nice video Mr Bams and thank you for to carry to us those events.

Just for your future masterpieces, in this video you can erase the last 60 seconds and could be better because those seconds are just in the darkness and nothing is possible to see.

Thanks, Ricardo; but I don't know what went wrong on your end- when I play the video it shows right to the last second...

Dave, I had not made up my mind about going to York. But if you're going, I'm going. Keep us posted about your plans.

Thanks for sharing, Bob. Looking at that shop makes me feel better about mine... I just thought my toy box was full!

I am thinking about trying to make it to York again. I'm slowly building some annual leave/comp. time, and have really been missing the opportunity to make such Stude events. I'm longing to get back together with some old friends, and meet some new ones! I flew out to York a few years ago, and had a blast!

(Didn't make any money, though.)

Thanks, Bob. Now if I could only get my archaic dialup to show more than a few seconds at a time. The time and trouble you went to share with us is greatly appreciated.
