My neighbor lost his keys to his 50 Champion, so I removed the ignition and glove box locks for him. The original owner's manual is in the glove box, but unfortunately the key numbers were never recorded in the space provided.
We'll take the locks to a locksmith to get new keys fitted, but I was wondering if the cylinders have the key numbers on them, and does anyone here cut new keys by the numbers? Thanks, Tom

Although the same key operates the truck & the glove box, the glove box lock cylinder has one less tumbler than the trunk. It's better to remove the trunk cylinder & have a key made from it instead.

I've never seen the key codes stamped on the cylinders myself but one thing with Studebakers, you never say never!
