Engine: Engine Numbers

Can Anyone tell me if these two numbers are the correct ones that are for my 56 2dr Champion.

The one on the top of block looks like II90I6I. The numbers on the bottom of the engine are 533870-6.

I am finally changing Freeze Plugs and Head Gasket.

Starting Serial number for 1956 Champions (56G) 185 c.i.d." is: 1,180,251 vs your 1190161 sounds like a '56 Champion,

The Starting Serial number for 1957 Champions is: 1,202,101 so yours is before that.

The Casting Numbers you list are in the Mold used to cast the Block, so are all the same on any group of similar blocks.

Thanks for the info. I would send pictures of the work as I go but my phone takes pictures too large to send and I am old enough not to know how to change it on my "Smart Phone"
