Normally I'm not a fan of yellow for cars, but the great lines on Studebaker and the mix with white sure does look nice on this car. I saw this 55 sedan at the regional meet yesterday and really was attracted to it's good looks. The whitewall tires and white two tone paint sure bring everything together just right on this beauty.

Rich, that 55 was just made for you, and it's for sale. I should have taken a picture of the for sale sign in the window, but as I recall it was about 6K, though I don't know who owned it.

My big brother owned a yellow 55 Commander when I was a teen. I loved that car.

I like the '56 Presidents in Yellow with the Black side trim.

Yellow is a bit 'overpowering' unless it's tu-toned, such as on this nice '55 President sedan

Yep - even looks good on those low slung things as well:

The 55 sedan even has a very nice grille to hood fit, as a lot do not.

I like it much better than my Jeep in yellow. My dad had a '56 Commander in the black and yellow as mentioned in post# 6 and it looked great. This is a great looking sedan, thanks for posting.

If you recall correctly and it really was 6k I'd think that is a steal of a deal!

Beautiful car!

Dean.

That is the same paint job as my '55 President and I love it.

Hey, Tom (TWChamp)... I am fairly sure the '55 that was for sale at $6000 was Dick France's baby blue and white '55 Champion not the yellow/white one. I've never looked it over in detail but it seems like a nice little Stude.

Thanks Bob. I wasn't paying close attention as I wasn't in the market.
I'm guessing the white front treatment was a custom touch by Dick and not the way Studebaker painted it......right?
