  • Value of V-8 Chrome Valve Covers

In an effort to raise money to get some fresh bumpers for my 52 I am selling off some parts. My uncertainty is whether to put a price on the pieces and advertise them on the swap page or put them on ebay and see what happens. I have this pair of late V-8 valve covers with excellent chrome, but one spark plug clip missing. The grayish square on the one without the clip is where I shot some paint to prevent rust. What are they worth?

Two years ago, I bought a perfect pair plus an original Hawk tachometer at a swap meet in Sacramento, CA for $100.

I would say that, if the chrome on yours was as nice as this pair, you got a steal.

Forrester's gets about $225 or so to plate a pair.

In that condition I'd say 150-$175.00 a Pair, in Excellent condition with a minor flaw.

I am assuming these are re-Plated/Plated not NOS Original.

Start the Auction at 150-160 or whatever you feel, and watch em GO!

That way, you don't have to Play around with $10.00 a bid Looky Lou'ers.

Yeah, I think so, too. But, you never know what you'll find at swap meets. Good luck on the sale.
