    what all does the air condition unit in the 62-64 larks and hawks consist of.
    and how comman was the option. any technical pics or advice thanks

    It consists of all of the usual parts (compressor, evaporator, condensor. drier, hoses, belt, brackets, etc.) of an underdash A/C unit of that time.
    It does not integrate with either the heater or fresh air (except the 1961 Lark).
    I would guess that application was about the same as for other low to mid priced cars of the time - 10-15%.
    Of course, many cars have had it retrofitted after build. Studebaker even sold kits to do this.

      A large, heavy, York or Eaton vertical Piston Compressor was used the same as AMC, and Ford, and as Gary said the under Dash Unit hung under the Center of the Dash and looks very much like a '65 Mustang or any Ford.

      As Gary also said, very few Studebakers or any Car of the era would have A/C, except the Top priced makes like Cadillac.

      Probably the most difficult item to find would be the Mounting Brackets for the Compressor but they are easily made or purchased from Vendors like Vintage Air for much more efficient and lighter Japanese Compressors.
