  • 1950 Champion Studebaker Script Keys Needed

I could use one key, and my neighbor needs 2 of each key for his just purchased 1950 Champion. I didn't see any listed in my SI catalog. Does anyone have original or exact repro key blanks for sale? Thanks, Tom

How many do you want Tom? Ign./Doors or Trunk/Glove Box? Unless changed over the years these '50 Champions SHOULD have the Yale Locks.

I have the Hurd brand also, usually for Commanders and 8 Cyl. Cars.

    PM me for more info.

thanks, Rich for the Yale Vs Hurd usage.

the brass key below on the left (sorry for the flash) is the ignition key (only one i have) for my '51 Champion.

the key states: Graham Mfg. Co, Derby Conn, USA - for DESOTO. i figured that Tom Elliott or the previous owner may have put another ignition lock in her.

does it look like the yale (or hurd) key? if so, i'd like to purchase a couple of blanks.

It looks very similar or the same.
The Studebaker Yale Ignition & Door Keys have 5 Cuts as yours does, and two lengthwise grooves on one side as yours does, and I believe they have One lengthwise groove on the other side.

You do not have a Hurd Key that's for sure, so it very likely is a Studebaker Yale Lock. Anyway you can't go wrong for $4.00 or 2 for $6.00 Hang it on the Wall if it does not fit!

Kerry, Your Original Studebaker Logo Keys shipped last Thursday, most overpriced eBay keys are aftermarket, Locksmith variety without Logos.
