    It's rather small.

It almost looks like it is left-hand drive, like the United States. Is it? I would expect right-hand drive in England. BP

Did they make any RHD Golden Hawks in 1956? And if so, how many?

I'd say it's a very early example, (early paint scheme), and most probably painted Snowcap/Sunglow.

Looks to be a color photo. and the car seems to be solid snowcap white.

It's in a No Parking zone

I'm pretty sure it's RHD - no so much from seeing the wheel on the right, but from not seeing one on the left.

It does appear to have a Rear View Mirror on the RIGHT front Fender. It is Solid White, it is not common to see GH's in Solid colors other than Black.

The mirrors are mounted way too far forward to be of use, and they also take away from the good looks of the car by being mounted so far forward.

Are the spotlights on the front aftermarket?

Yep you could be right, there is definately a slightly darker shade below the mouldings, it's very hard to tell in a Tiny pic if it is a shadow or not, but probably is not, maybe Sunglow as "Someone" in Post #5 mentioned.

What's tricky on the early paint scheme 56J's, is that the fin and the lower 1/4 panel are the same color......Later Hawks with the 2nd paint scheme have a completely different look.....a look that Studebaker apparently thought looked better!

Personally, I like both paint styles.
