Since the "merger" took place October 1, 1954 between Studebaker and Packard, when did the data plate change take place? The old plate said Studebaker Corporation, South Bend, IN. Was there a difference between Vernon built cars at that time or did they use the same plate prior to the "merger"?
Did the Studebaker Packard plate change during the model year 1955 or 1956 for all Studebaker produced cars?. I know the Detroit Packard's used a different plate in 1955 but did all the corporation cars use the same plate after 1956?
