P.S. control valve

Was working on my 62 Hawk last night, wanted to replace power steering control valve seals. I removed the two screws and the cap, but the 1/2 inch nut just spins. Looking at cutaway in shop manual it looks like there is a pin that keeps bolt from spinning. Is there any way to fix this? Help Mr. Wizard !! Thanks for your help Lou Cote [8D]

Yes there is a pin. You might do a search on the subject because I know Tom (sbca) was working on his and did an excellent job of explaining what he did as well as adding photos. I worked on mine a while back and I was able to interject a few things for Tom.
