I am getting close to finally dropping the engine in the car and need to get the clutch installed.

I thought I had one in a box but I was wrong and have no point of reference to order a new one.

Does anyone know what clutch I can order to work with the factory pressure plate? Is it a 10" 6 spline? That's what I have on memory for some reason.

Please let me know any help will be appreciated.

Thank you,

Jared

IMS 1 1/8 10 spline sticks in my mind, after the VA finishes with me i'll put on work clothes and go measure one for you. do you have a pressure plate? the 10in can be sorted from the 10.5 by looking at the perimeter of the pressure plate disc, the 10.5 is scalloped at the bolt holes. Later Doofus

Yes 1 1/8- 10 spline is correct,(I have gone to VA smelling of old grease and rust before) measure pressure plate clamping surface OD for disc dia. Luck Doofus

Great thanks! If anyone else chimes in with that measurement that would be great, otherwise I will measure when I get home.

1-1/8" x 10 spline is literally one of the most common clutch disc and pressure plates ever made. Most US car and truck manufacturers used them in 10", 10.5" and 11" diameters.

DO an archive search here, as much has been written on clutches. Whatever you do, do not go with HD version of which ever one you choose, but that's in the archives too.
