Last nights episode brought two agents to a taxi company, behind the
dispatcher there was a poster of a 80's vintage Avanti, and some small
pictures that included what looked like a '53 hardtop. Anyone else
paying attention?

Tom

I watched that last night, but missed it. I just tried watching it again on CBS.com but still didn't see it.

Yes, my wife pointed it out to me and I used my DVR to run it back. It was a picture of a newer Avanti and the poster with it was the one that has the history of Studebaker vehicles. It was in the taxi garage when they interviewed the dispatcher.

The poster I saw almost caused me t ofall off of the couch and my wife asked me what was wrong. When i told her she just laughed and said only you would see that/ Glad to know I wasn't the only one.

The poster was a 25th Anniversary Poster.

See you in the future as I write about our past

What's NCIS?
I'm TV challenged, and pay little attention to what's on TV;)

It stands for Naval something. They're a fictional military investigational unit. It's one of the wife's favorite shows. I might watch it if I'm too lazy to get up and go in the other room.:(

It's not fictional...there really is an NCIS...Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

BTW: The Army & Air Force have similar units...they investigate on-base/ship crimes that are too serious for the MP/SP/SFs (USAF Security Forces).

You are correct. These are real live units in each branch of service. Army's is known as CID (Criminal Intelligence Division).
Worked with them in the late 60's.

Its probably one of the BEST shows on TV right now with a good mix of
action, comedy and story. Dont get it confused with CSI.

I don't normally watch that show, but my wife, Cathy, does. She mentioned to me about seeing a "square headlight Avanti." How many of you have spouses that would pick up on something like that and know the difference between round and square headlight Avantis and the year(s) for each?

My wife certainly does too. She MUCH prefers the square headlight version and that is the first thing she checks:)
