  • Fuel System: Carburetor return spring

Which spring is correct for the throttle return? 57 Commander 259/ 2bbl, connects to water outlet. Also, what spring is needed for the OD linkage which connects to L shape clip mounted on drivers side valve cover? Oh, and which valve cover stud is the correct location for the spring mount.

Neither, the little blue one is the 4 Barrel forward return spring, the long one is stretched out.
The 3rd. Stud & Acorn Nut back gets the Spring mounting "L" Clip.

Rich, the long one looks like the one shown in SI's catalog, P190-#1550646. It was the one on the carb when I got the car.

Here is how it looks on a WCFB 4 Barrel (with your 4 Brl. Spring) later model with the 2 Hole valve covers, the Rear Spring as you can see would fit to the 3rd. Stud.
