I know the 1950 was inspired by the Lockheed P-38 Lightning. Guess this owner decided to take it the rest of the way.

There was one on Craigslist here that had the exhaust actually exiting where those decals are.

      That might be a wrap.
Little over the top but I like it!

How can you not,.. It's a bullet nose!

I wonder if the same guy owns the pickup next to it, as the pickup appears to have a rust paint job. This one looks a bit fake, but I saw the rust paint job on a Model A pickup in our club, and no matter how long you look closely at the paint, you'd swear it the real thing.

By the paint...he's actually got "three" planes there.
          1. P-38 (sorta) in the chrome nose.
          2. P-51 (among others) in the exhaust
          3. P-40 in the open mouth

Here's another one. Doug Hodak's car was mentioned here before. I think he might have sold it. Both cars look pretty neat.

In my opinion, Doug's creation shows more class.

Ditto. In a class by itself using the military theme.

                  Where's the nose art, though?

I think it would have benefited from period correct wheels.

If you can sit through the video, same theme here. And it has nose-art---sort of.
