That's Peter Caliguero's car (and my front air dam). Go, Peter!

:!: 'Way cool, Jeff. Now that we have Jack Heidel on board from The Ohio Mile, I hope we can have more Ohio Mile coverage in Turning Wheels. It's just a question of getting someone there who can feed us information, like Ron Hall always "took charge" of Bonneville Studebaker coverage back in the day. I'm hoping to ride over to The Ohio Mile this year with Ted Harbit, who has gone by himself the last year or two. :) BP

Peter had his car for sale on eBay but I think he still has it. He's a really personable guy. If it is Peter, Bob, tell him I highly recommend you :)

I'm glad to see Peter still has the car.

Peter's car is exceptional. I have not made it to ECTA's new venue in Ohio but did get to know Peter when they ran at Maxton, North Carolina. He drove the yellow Studebaker from Ontario to Maxton towing a small trailer that held his racing wheel/tires and his racing seat. Raced for the weekend and drove back home. Gotta love it.

I actually got to drive the car once, but it was a lot closer to 20mph than 200. :)

It is a beautiful car. I witnessed him go off the course and into the infield at 199 MPH. Scary as all get-out, but it could have been a LOT worse. Here it is afterwards:

Just to be accurate.. All those pic's are from last year.
Car has been repaired.
Car is still for sale.

You sure?
I know the wreck pictures are.
But the first pics in the thread show, fins and a tail, which I don't think he had last year.

I could be wrong, I don't know.

I should have mentioned that my pictures are from June, 2013. The car has been completely redone and Peter has since gone over 200. It really is a beautifully done car.

I was also there and saw Peter go off into the grass. We plan on going back again in June.

In the grass at 199 mph, Bet his car wasn't the only thing he had to clean up.
